- Kim Myung Min paling dikenal saat menjadi peran utama dalam drama TV sejarah KBS The Immortal Lee Soon Shin (Immortal Admiral Yi Sun Shin).
- Berkat drama tersebut, dia dinobatkan sebagai aktor terbaik di KBS Acting Awards pada 2005.
- Ia mendapat julukan Myung Min Bon Joa setelah berperan sebagai ahli bedah amoral Jang Joon Hyuk dalam serial TV MBC 2007, White Tower.
